Lloyd's Florist & Events

Effective date: September 29, 2026

Lloyd's Florist & Events has been part of Louisville since 1971. When you send flowers, book a consultation, chat with us on our website, or text with our team, you are trusting us with information about yourself and often about the people you care about.

This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It applies to lloydsevents.com, lloydsflorist.net, our website chat, our text messages, and the information you give us by email, by phone, through your client portal, or in person at our shop. It also covers Louisville Suits, which operates inside our shop at 9216 Preston Highway.

In this policy, "Lloyd's," "we," "us," and "our" mean Lloyd's Florist and Nursery Inc., doing business as Lloyd's Florist & Events. "You" means anyone who visits our websites, contacts us, or does business with us.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact information. Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing or billing address.

  • Order details. For flower orders, the recipient's name, delivery address, and phone number, your card message, delivery date, and any special instructions. Card messages are often personal. We use them only to prepare and deliver your order.

  • Wedding and event details. Your date, ceremony and reception locations, colors, guest counts, style preferences, inspiration photos, and the names and contact information of people involved in your plans, such as your fiancé, a parent, or your planner.

  • Payment information. Online payments are handled by secure third-party payment processors. We do not see or store your full card number when you pay online.

  • Formalwear details. For Louisville Suits, your sizes and measurements, and the names and contact information of the members of your group.

  • Your messages. What you send us through website chat, text, email, phone, social media, or your client portal, including any photos or files you upload.

  • Reviews and feedback. What you share when you review us or answer a survey.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our websites, some information is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site that sent you to us. We collect this with cookies, pixels, and similar tools. The section on cookies and advertising below explains more.

Information from others

We may receive information about you from:

  • Someone who sends you flowers, which gives us your name, address, and phone number for delivery

  • A client who shares your contact information for their wedding or event, such as a bride sharing her husband's information so we can send an anniversary reminder, or a groom sharing his groomsmen's information for suit fittings

  • Wedding planners, venues, and other event professionals working with you

  • Review sites and social media platforms, when you interact with us there

  • The companies that help us run our business, including the website visitor tools described below

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Take, prepare, and deliver your orders

  • Schedule and confirm consultations and appointments

  • Plan, design, and carry out your wedding or event

  • Coordinate formalwear orders and fittings

  • Answer your questions and follow up on your requests

  • Send order updates, appointment reminders, and messages about your wedding or event

  • Send occasional emails or texts about seasonal flowers, holidays, and offers, when you have agreed to receive them

  • Ask for your feedback or a review

  • Improve our websites, our chat assistant, and our service

  • Show our ads to people who have visited our websites

  • Prevent fraud and protect our customers and our business

  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Our Website Chat Assistant

Our websites may include a chat assistant to help answer common questions, point you to the right page, and collect your details so our team can follow up. The assistant may be automated and powered by artificial intelligence. It may also appear as a visual or animated assistant on our websites.

A few things to know:

  • What you type into chat, and what you say if the assistant accepts voice, is recorded and stored by us and by the company that provides the chat tool.

  • Members of our team may read chat conversations to follow up with you and to improve the answers the assistant gives.

  • Automated answers can be incomplete or wrong. Your order confirmation, your signed contract, or a direct conversation with our team is what counts.

  • Please do not share payment card numbers, passwords, or health information in chat.

  • If you give us your phone number in chat, we will only text you if you agree to receive texts.

Text Messaging

We may send text messages from Lloyd's Florist & Events. Here is how it works.

How you agree to receive texts. You may agree to receive texts by entering your phone number and checking a consent box on one of our forms, by asking for texts through our chat assistant, by texting us first, or by telling our team in person or over the phone. Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.

What we send. Order and delivery updates, appointment confirmations and reminders, replies to your questions, messages about your wedding or event, and requests for feedback. If you separately agree to marketing texts, we may also send occasional messages about seasonal flowers, holidays, and offers.

How often. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (502) 968-5428.

How we protect your mobile information. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

The full text messaging terms are in our Terms of Service.

Website Visitor Identification

We may use tools that help us understand who visits our websites and what they are interested in.

Some of these tools work with third-party data companies. When you visit, those companies may match information about your visit, such as your IP address, device, or cookies, with information they already hold. That match may identify the business you work for and, in some cases, your name, email address, or mailing address.

We use this to understand interest in our services and, where the law allows, to follow up with people who looked at our wedding, event, or sympathy pages.

If you do not want us to follow up based on a website visit, contact us and we will stop. You can also limit these tools by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser.

Cookies and Advertising

We use cookies and similar tools to:

  • Keep our websites and online shop working, such as remembering what is in your cart

  • Understand how people use our websites, through analytics services

  • Show our ads to people who have visited our websites, on social media and search platforms

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how our websites work. You can also adjust ad preferences in your social media and Google accounts, or opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for them, our websites do not currently respond to those signals.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as needed to run our business and serve you:

  • Service providers. Companies that host our websites and online shop, process payments, manage scheduling, contracts, and client portals, run our chat assistant, send our texts and emails, manage reviews, provide analytics, and deliver our ads. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.

  • Delivery partners and other florists. For orders going outside our local delivery area, we share the details needed with a florist near the recipient who fulfills the order.

  • Jim's Formal Wear. Louisville Suits is an official provider of Jim's Formal Wear. We share your sizes, measurements, and order details with them to fill your formalwear order.

  • People you ask us to work with. Your planner, venue, or family members, when you ask us to coordinate with them.

  • Legal and safety reasons. When the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our team, or our business.

  • If our business changes hands. If Lloyd's is sold or transferred, customer information may be part of that transfer, and this policy would continue to apply to it.

  • With your permission. Any other time, only if you agree.

Mobile information. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Information About Other People

Many orders involve someone else: the person receiving flowers, a groom, groomsmen, a planner, or a family member. If you give us someone else's information, please make sure they are comfortable with you sharing it.

We use it only for the reason you gave it to us. We do not add gift recipients to our marketing emails or texts based on a gift order alone.

Your Choices

  • Emails. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.

  • Texts. Reply STOP to any text.

  • Follow-up from website visits. Contact us and we will stop.

  • Ads. Use the cookie and ad settings described above.

  • Your information. You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact us using the information below.

Some records we are required to keep, such as transaction, contract, and tax records, even after you ask us to delete your information. We will tell you if that applies.

Residents of some states have additional privacy rights under state law. We will honor those requests as the law requires.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you, to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Wedding records may be kept longer so we can help you celebrate anniversaries and recreate flowers from your wedding in the years ahead. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we expect the companies we work with to do the same. No website, app, or messaging system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us online.

Children and Teens

Our websites are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Many teens come to us for prom flowers and formalwear. We encourage a parent or guardian to be involved in orders and appointments for anyone under 18.

Links to Other Websites

Our websites link to other sites and services, including social media, review sites, our client portal, and the Louisville Suits website. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will let you know on our websites or by email.
